  1. •Forest Gait Farm has a variety of services to meet your recreational riding needs. We have almost 20 years of experience with gaited horses, specifically the Paso Fino horse. We offer gaited riding lessons on your horse or ours, along with gait troubleshooting and consultation.

 

Riding Club/Lesson Programs


Part/board or lease a Paso Fino horse

(for experienced adult riders only)

Price includes taxes


  1. •Full Membership: $250/month for unlimited riding

  2. •Weekday Membership: $175/month - ride up to 5 times per month and only on weekdays.

  3. •Weekend Membership: $150/month - ride up to 4 times per month, pre-booked weekends or weekdays

  4. •Pay as you go: $50/ride


Learn to Ride a Gaited Horse


  1. •Learn horsemanship and how to ride a gaited horse

  2. •Learn how to balance- work towards independent seat

  3. •Learn the mechanics of a 4 beat lateral gait





Private Lesson fees:

• 1 Hour Lesson: $50

• 1 Hour split Lesson between 2 people/same horse: $60

• 30 Minute Lesson: $30


Student Requirements:

1. Sign FGF Liability Release Form

2. Riding Boots with a heel

Horse Board

Excellent care, grassy paddocks,

great riding trails, sand ring & round pen.

  1. •Indoor board: $400 per month includes a 12x12 stall

  2. •Outside board: $300 per month with run-in shelters


Gaited Horse Training/Exercising


  1. •Exercising horse for optimum fitness $20 per session

  2. •Training board $700 per month/daily weekday training

When I met Jeannie Harris for the first time, I was trying to sell my Paso Fino mare because we just didn’t suit each other. I had tried for over two years to help her develop some confidence in herself and her rider but she was just too sensitive. I tried to get help from a dressage coach but that was definitely not for her. It just upset her more. A “horse whisperer” who specialized in Parelli training worked with her for three months and I saw some changes. Then Jeannie took her. I was at the end of my rope, thinking that things would never change and my poor mare would always be unhappy. In less than a month, through Jeannie’s gentle methods, I saw a totally different horse. She was walking calmly in the ring, even on a very windy day. She wasn’t flapping her lip out of frustration. She was going on long trail rides and really enjoying them. She had become the horse she was meant to be. I could tell that she was very happy with her new life and confidence.
