Part Board or Lease a FGF Paso Fino

Subject to availability. Price includes taxes

Forest Gait farm offers the opportunity to part/board or lease a Paso Fino. Instruction on how to ride a gaited horse will be included, if needed.

•Monthly part-board: $250/month for unlimited riding
•Weekday part-board: $175/month - ride up to 5 times per month and only on weekdays.
•Weekend part-board: $150/month - ride up to 4 times per month, pre-booked weekends

Participant Requirements:

1. Sign FGF Liability Release Form

2. Riding Boots with a heel

3. Safety Helmet

Horse Boarding

Price includes taxes

Indoor board: $400 per month -12x12 stall/ daily turnout

Outdoor board: $300 per month outside living 24/7

At FGF, we are dedicated to providing horses with lots of TLC. We offer both indoor and outdoor board and feed based on individual requirements. In the summer, horses have large grassy pastures and in winter there is free choice hay and heated water. For ‘easy keepers’, there is a ‘Jenny Craig’ paddock with limited grazing, and in the winter, we have slow feeding nets on round bales.

We have regular farrier, vaccination and worming schedules. We can schedule appointments with the professionals we use, or you are welcome to use your own. Outside coaches are also welcome.

We have a huge outdoor riding ring, round pen and fabulous hacking trails. Both the farm owner and the farm manager reside on the premises.

And, TLC isn’t just for horses. For the rider, we have a heated area with a microwave, refrigerator and washroom.

In addition, you will feel welcome among our congenial group of boarders and have trail buddies to ride with.

Gaited Horse Training/Exercising

•Exercising horse for optimum fitness $20 per session
•Training board $750 per month/daily weekday training

When I met Jeannie Harris for the first time, I was trying to sell my Paso Fino mare because we just didn’t suit each other. I had tried for over two years to help her develop some confidence in herself and her rider but she was just too sensitive. I tried to get help from a dressage coach but that was definitely not for her. It just upset her more. A “horse whisperer” who specialized in Parelli training worked with her for three months and I saw some changes. Then Jeannie took her. I was at the end of my rope, thinking that things would never change and my poor mare would always be unhappy. In less than a month, through Jeannie’s gentle methods, I saw a totally different horse. She was walking calmly in the ring, even on a very windy day. She wasn’t flapping her lip out of frustration. She was going on long trail rides and really enjoying them.
